Francesca died last night after riding a makeshift
sledge into a barbed wire fence. Francesca was rushed to hospital by helicopter but died from her
injuries five hours later.
was one of the highest achievers at her school, she was one of four girls who were hurt as they
hurtled out of control down a snow-covered hill at Rother Valley Country Park shortly after 1pm.
The girls, who improvised a sledge from a roof cut off a 4x4 vehicle, were unable to stop at the
bottom of the hill and broke through one fence before hitting a second. Francesca was airlifted to
Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital but died shortly after.

A NEW YEAR WISH
For the New Year my wish will be
for family and friends to be happy and healthy,
I wish for lot's of laughter not tear's
for i spent a lot of time crying this year,
I dont want war and i wish for peace
i just want everyone to feel at ease,
I wish for children to feel free to play
and feel the sun on their face on a warm sunny day,
I wish for my angel's in heaven now
that they will let me know their around somehow,
Just something small to let me know they are near
keeping me calm when i feel a sadness or fear,

We all still miss you Fran. It wasnt the same going into our Psychology class and seeing your seat empty. When i'm at work i see people that i think are you, it takes me a while to remember it cant possibly be you. No one will ever forget you. You'll always be remembered. Its been a few months now since the accident and you're still in everyones thoughts. You would be proud of us all for raising so much money for the Air Ambulance. Everyone is so proud of you Fran.
